Who We Are
NexVolt is a subscription quoting and estimating platform for low-voltage contractors, operated by NexVolt LLC (“NexVolt”, “we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide and information generated as you use the service:
- Account details — your name, email, company name, role, and password.
- Company profile — logo, brand color, address, and business settings you enter.
- Business data — your pricing, quotes, invoices, projects, and job requests, including the customer contact details you add to them (see “Data About Your Customers” below).
- Payment information — processed by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Usage and device data — pages visited, actions taken, browser and device type, and basic diagnostics we use to keep the service reliable and secure.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the platform and its features.
- Generate quotes, invoices, and AI-assisted summaries you request.
- Process subscriptions, trials, and payments.
- Send transactional email (account, quotes, invoices, follow-ups) and respond to support requests.
- Monitor, secure, and troubleshoot the service and prevent abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the contents of your quotes, pricing, or customer lists to advertise to you.
Data About Your Customers
When you add your own customers’ contact and job details to a quote, invoice, or request, you control that information and you are responsible for having the right to provide it to us. NexVolt processes that data on your behalf, solely to deliver the features you use (such as sending a quote or collecting a signature). You are responsible for how you communicate with and handle the data of your own customers.
Service Providers & Subprocessors
We rely on trusted providers to run NexVolt. Your data may be processed by these services only to deliver features you use, under their own security and privacy commitments:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
- Stripe — subscription billing and invoice payments.
- Resend — transactional and follow-up email delivery.
- DocuSeal — customer e-signatures.
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI-generated quote summaries.
- Google Maps — driving distance and travel estimates.
- Netlify — hosting and content delivery.
- PostHog, GoatCounter & Sentry — product analytics and error monitoring.
We may add, remove, or change providers as the service evolves; this list will be updated to reflect material changes.
Data Retention & Security
We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal or tax requirements. We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect it, including access controls that keep each organization’s data isolated. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights & Choices
You may access, update, or correct your information from within the app, and you may request a copy or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. You can close your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws; we will honor valid requests as required by law.
Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the product is used through the analytics providers listed above. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
Data Location
NexVolt is operated from the United States, and your information is stored and processed on servers located in the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed there.
Children’s Privacy
NexVolt is a business tool intended for use by adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the service or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of NexVolt after an update means you accept the revised policy.
